Most people with acne attempt to treat their irritated skin with external face washes, soaps, lotions and treatments. However, the best way to treat acne is by changing your diet and getting rid of acne-causing ingredients such as fried foods.

A healthful diet rich in natural whole foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans is the first recommendation for treating acne. It is true that eating fruits, vegetable, whole grains and other healthful foods while limiting one’s intake of processed foods is better for the skin. However, the article goes one step further and connects greasy foods to acne while not making a point to note that the reason eating healthily helps the skin is more to do with the fact taking in more nutrients helps the body do its jobs better.

Greasy foods do not cause acne. Secondly, the body has to fight an outbreak. This is not on the same level as when a person catches a cold or has an injury and there is a wound that needs to be healed. Still though, at the point when the body is put on alert to cure, it helps that a person’s immune system is as strong as possible. What we eat, along with things like exercise, getting adequate sleep, stress maintenance, all contribute to (or take away from) our immune system function.

With all of these things noted, there are a few nuggets of insight that can be taken out of this article. Kudos to this young man for his efforts in spreading acne information.
