“Acne Food” As A Preventive Approach

Why is diet so important for the health of your skin? Well, mainly because eating right will always help the health of your body. Also, an immune system that is working at its optimum ability is better able to heal outbreaks. If eating certain foods could help quicker healing, it’s definitely worth looking into adding more “acne food” to your diet.

Often we have cravings for things that are fatty or full of processed sugars. Foods with these characteristics tend to also have a low nutritional content. As a side note, it is commonly believed that foods like French fries, chocolate, pizza, etc actually cause acne. This is not the case – there is no link to acne outbreaks and high fat junk food. The reason to avoid them is more to do with the fact that they do not help build the body’s nutrient intake.

Good acne food choices are foods that combine natural sugars and fats. So, for instance, adding avocado to a garden salad would work well because (the oil in the salad and the fat in the avocado) are good fats that helps feed the crazing for fat. For the sugar, adding fresh fruit to the meal would help curb your desire for sweets.
